New and Noteworthy at Seattle Soto Zen:

Join Us in Practice

The practice of Soto Zen calls us to engage with life, manifesting our true nature in moment-to-moment activity that benefits all beings, including ourselves. This practice brings a joyful openness to whatever arises in our lives.

We follow the forms of Soto Zen with a spirit of warmth and inclusion in the tradition of Suzuki Roshi, founder of the San Francisco Zen Center. Anyone interested in meditation is welcome, whether new or experienced.
We are an affiliate of Everyday Zen Foundation, led by Zoketsu Norman Fischer, former Abbot of San Francisco Zen Center.

Our Sangha is led by Eko Jeff Kelley, a priest and fully transmitted teacher in the Dainin Katagiri Roshi lineage.

Introduction to Zen Practice: We offer a 45 minute session every first Sunday of the month at 8:30am led by a senior student. No reservation necessary.

Seattle Soto Zen welcomes people of every race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, creed, religious background, ability and disability.
