Sangha Week at Tassajara

Sunday, May 13 - Friday, May 18, 2012 (5-nights)

with Christina Lehnherr

Join Eko Jeff Kelley and Seattle Soto Zen sangha members for a multi-faceted week of practice at this wonderful facility. Sangha Week is a time when the San Francisco Zen Center opens Tassajara, its mountain retreat center, to teachers and sangha members of associated sanghas. The schedule is relatively relaxed, and there is time for discussion, relaxation and exploration of the surrounding hills. This is a chance to participate for part of the day in the daily life of a monastery. SFZC teacher, Christina Lehnherr, will lead the week of practice.

In the morning, Sangha Week participants will join the residential community for zazen, breakfast, work practice and lunch. The afternoon and evening schedule includes Dharma events and allows for personal time. Dinner will be in the guest dining room.

As you might imagine, space is limited. This week of practice is open to all SFZC associated sanghas. Please register soon if you want to attend. Cost is $395 per person, not including travel expenses to Jamesburg, CA. See the SFZC website for additional information and registration. Contact Jeff to coordinate your travel with others attending from Seattle.
