Death in the Midst of Life

Death is
always present in life, and yet we continually look away. We may never know what
happens after death, but we can become much more conscious of the place "death"
occupies in our minds and how this affects the way we live.
Life-and-death is the great matter. All things pass quickly away. We can
not fully embrace life until we fully embrace death. Please join us in this
challenging exploration.
The class will include short
talks and ample time for large and small group discussion. Mindfulness practice
throughout the week will be a primary focus. There will be assigned readings but
no one text. We will meet on Thursday nights from 7:30 - 9:00 PM at Jeff and Bonnie’s house, 4919 53rd Ave S, Seattle. Optional zazen will be
offered from 7:00 - 7:30. We will arrange carpools from the north side of the
city. Space is limited. Please email Jeff to sign up. No fee, suggested donation
$80.
